e-Bike Safety & Riding Skills Training
The best way for kids, new riders & seniors to learn and remember e-Bike safe riding and safety tactics is by using them in practice after learning the tools in a classroom setting. This ensures that students have the knowledge, experience and confidence to ride an e-Bike safely on bike paths and roads in their neighborhoods.
Most e-Bike 101 classes teach basics about owning and operating an e-Bike, with a few tips on safety. eSA’s e-Bike Safety Training Courses take that knowledge and apply it to real world situations where you have to think quickly. Essentially, this is e-Bike 201.
We focus on teaching best practices for safe and considerate e-Biking when sharing a multi-use path with many others. Tips for shifting and riding hills, how to handle intersections without signs and blind turns, etc. We follow the established cycling etiquette and standards that many Colorado cyclists and e-Bikers know to follow. Participants will be encouraged to test out their new skills in non-traffic areas and then take them out of the road/path to apply them.
Once students learn safe and proper e-Bike riding skills, they can share that knowledge with friends and family on joint rides together. Upon completion of the course program, “graduates” will be given an online certificate to post socially.
